In general there is a distinction between the two types of data we collect:
Anonymous data or behavioural data relates to the way people use our products and services. It is collected whenever someone browses our websites, and is not traced to any individual. Anonymous data includes, for example, the date and time
of a visit, the country from which the site was accessed, browser version, and type of device.
WHY: Anonymous data helps us optimise the design and content of our sites according to users’ needs, e.g. adapting the visual appearance according to screen size.
Personal data, as the name suggests, is about you as an individual. With your consent, this data is stored in your personal record. Subject to your consent, it is gathered when you interact with us. Interacting with us includes signing up
for a newsletter or sending us a message via our contact form. In these cases we collect such personal data as email, name and/or phone number.
WHY: We need your email to send you the newsletter you requested, or your phone number follow up on your enquiry. With this data we can also address you personally in any communication.
